ACCESSIBILITY

At Bunk, we pride ourselves on being an inclusive and welcoming venue for all and will always strive to make your night as enjoyable as possible.

VENUE LAYOUT

The Bunkhouse is over 2 floors, with the downstairs "pre-gig" bar area accessible by and level to the public street. We do often feature artists and smaller events in this ‘Park St Bar’ area. The main room, in which the majority of acts play, is where our "main stage" is situated and is on the 1st floor. The space comprises: the stage, large capacity (standing) room and a further small bar area.

 

Although the two rooms are separated by 7 steps, both rooms have step-free access from street level. For step-free access to the main room, simply inform a member of staff that you would like to go to the main room, they will then happily escort you to the step-free access entrance from The Kingsway. The main room also has access to a disabled toilet.

ACCESS FACILITIES

Accessible Seating

We do not currently have an accessible viewing area in our spaces. However, if you require a seat for the show, please let us know and we will sort this for you. You are also welcome to arrive 10 minutes before doors open.

 

Accessible Parking 

Opposite our main entrance on Park Street is a dedicated disabled car park which, at the time of our events, always has adequate spaces available.

Personal Assistant Tickets

We offer a Personal Assistant ticket to any customer who is unable to attend a show without the support of a PA. If you require a PA ticket, please send us an email to discuss your requirements.

PARKING & TRAVEL TO THE BUNKHOUSE

The Bunkhouse is located in the heart of Swansea, spanning two city-centre streets - The Kingsway & Park Street. You can find our main entrance on Park Street, although occasionally we do require our patrons to enter via The Kingsway entrance, this would be publicly noted before an event.

Travelling Via Car: 

Come off the M4 at Junction 42, head along the A483 and follow signs for Swansea city centre. We are on one of the main routes in the city, The Kingsway, our entrance is via the back on Park Street. There is a disabled-only car park on Park Street. Alliteratively you can use the Pell Street car park that is 30 seconds from the venue.

Travelling Via Bus:

There are bus stops situated near the venue along The Kingsway, alternatively, get off your bus at the main Swansea bus station (The Quadrant), exit the bus station at the Wilkinsons exit, take a right then left onto Union Street, head along Union Street until you get to Park Street and The Bunkhouse.

Travelling Via Train:

Exit Swansea High Street station, turn left and walk along High Street until you get to Argos, take a left and head along College Street and onto The Kingsway and you will find The Bunkhouse.

ASSISTANCE DOGS 

Assistance dogs are welcome at The Bunkhouse! We ask that you please check about event suitability beforehand - we don't want them to be in any discomfort. Our Park Street Bar is always suitable for dogs as music is a lot quieter, however our main gig room is very loud at times, so may be a little loud for dog's ears. We may be able to offer a location where they can stay during the gig, but please contact us in advance to discuss this.

OTHER FACILITIES/INFORMATION

- Customers can bring medication, food, drink or medical equipment with them to manage a medical condition.

- There may be strobe lighting in use during performances.

- Ear plugs are available behind the bar if required.

- Currently we do not offer assisted performance options, but this is something we are looking into.
